‘The Sound of Magic’ Korean Musical Drama Lights Up in New Trailer
Do you believe in magic? If the answer is no, you will after watching this new The Sound of Magic trailer. The upcoming fantasy music drama from South Korea, based on the webtoon Annarasumanara, lights up in an old abandoned amusement park. Rumor has it that a mysterious magician named Ri Eul (Ji Chang-wook) lives there — and he can make anyone disappear in an instant. Yoon Ah-Yi (Choi Sung-eun), a young girl scraping by to feed herself and her sister, decides to pay him a visit. Forced to grow up fast, Ah-Yi had to give up her childhood dream of also becoming a magician. Now she just wants a way out of her struggles. “If you’re really a magician, pull me out of this hell I’m in,” she begs Ri Eul in the trailer. “I just want this time, where I have no control over anything, to go by quickly.”
Although he has countless tricks up his sleeves, Ri Eul decides to assist Ah-Yi in a different way. Through musical numbers and whimsical magic tricks, Ri Eul helps Ah-Yi see the beauty and wonder of life. For once, she can feel like a child again in the amusement park, where he showers her with stardust, confetti, butterflies and fireworks. It’s a completely different world than the reality Ah-Yi is forced to live in. Furthermore, he helps Ah-Yi pursue her childhood dream of playing with magic. Ready to sing along and marvel your eyes at the sparkling world of The Sound of Magic? The new series premieres May 6, faster than you can say “Annarasumanara.”
